Camp Mosiah

This week I spent Wednesday night, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Morning at Camp Mosiah. The Camp was organized by the DeLand Stake and attended by: Stuart Stake, Leesburg Stake, DeLand Stake, Orlando Stake, Orlando South Stake, Hunter's Creek Stake, and Cocoa Stake. We had, I believe, just over 900 boys who attended this Boy Scout/Young Men's Camp. Four years ago I attended the first camp like this, called Camp Helaman. At the first one I was a lifeguard. This time around I was the Action Archery Instructor. I was able to work with the Priests and teach them about Archery as we shot fake animal targets set up in the woods along a trail. It was a lot of fun. I got totally sun burnt the first day(the second day I wised up and wore a long sleeve shirt) so I'm kinda sore, but it was so much fun. On Thursday morning when I woke up at about 6 am to go set up my station for the day I was able to take the pictures below. While they don't show the size of the encampment, I thought it was a really cool scene with fog just starting to lift and the sun coming up over the tree tops. If you click on the pictures you can make them bigger and see them in much greater detail.
I look forward to the next camp which will probably take place in another 4 years. So far I'm 2/2 for working on staff at these camps, and I'd like to keep a perfect record.
